Welcome!
McKinley Elementary School has a tradition of offering a well-rounded educational setting in which students are encouraged to become life-long learners. Our mission statement is, "Empower all learners to succeed in a changing world." Our goal is to foster relationships with each and every student and we will do everything possible to also meet each child's social and emotional needs.

This website is created for both the benefit of students and parents. As you browse, we hope you will gain insight into our school and find the information beneficial. If you have any concerns whatsoever, please contact us. Again, welcome to McKinley and thank you for sharing your child with us!

The vision statement for McKinley Elementary School is to provide opportunities for students to reach their full potential through rigorous and innovative learning, which would include both academic performance and personal development.

Teaching Your Children Values

• Be a good role model. Children pay more attention to what we do than what we say. Teach respect, empathy, and courtesy by example.

•Teach children to consider others before themselves. Emphasize that kindness and selflessness are worthy traits.

•Discuss inappropriate behavior. Provide your child with choices so he or she can avoid it.

•Monitor what your child sees and hears; carefully select the television programs and videos your child watches.

•Discuss problems or situations that might be worrying your child. Communicate understanding and willingness to help.

•Most importantly, give your child a loving, caring home environment.

SchoolBlocks offers a unique and powerful personalized search system. A member of the public, searching for "homework" might see an announcement from the school as the first result. However, if the user is logged in, they would see their teacher’s latest homework assignment as the top result.
